Today July 4, 2020 marks the release of my book entitled: The Blueprint: 10 Ways to Improve Your Credit. July 4 growing up has always been a significant day to the me. My mom always purchased new clothes and shoes to wear on this day for my siblings and I. However, I never understood why! Growing up on the Southside of Chicago I always remember the loud sounds of fireworks and how on this day fireworks mattered to us as kids.
I never been the one to play on race but during the these last couple months has been very emotional for me being an African American Male that has four sons. I never understood the history behind systematic racism and the BLM(Black Lives Matter) movement. I GET IT NOW!!! I started to educate myself on the past as well as present issues we face as African American males and people in general.
So to release my book on July 4 , 2o2o is a day I feel I will be educating people through reading, in return it will assist them in understanding how to fix their credit and the power of credit a bit better. Which is something we didn’t have in my community growing up. I vowed to teach all of my children the power of credit and I have done a great job thus far. I have two twenty year old sons Travis and Lamont and both their credit scores is above a 722 right now. The other four will be even better considering at their age they understand what makes up a credit score.
With all that being said! This book is an easy read for everyone. Take advantage of what I didn’t have growing which was someone that has been through having bad credit but now own a company ( Right Track Credit) where our motto is ” Helping People Dream Again” and that I have been on the other end of having bad credit and companies not coming through for me. However, I had to study credit hours on top of hours, reaching out to others to assist me, being taken advantage of in the rebuilding phases of fixing my credit to now sitting at a 800 credit score!
